What is Growing Empowered?

I created Growing Empowered as a way to help people gain confidence when taking on the challenge of managing personal finances. When it became clear I needed to take some steps to get a handle on my money, I struggled to make changes, feeling intimidated by the unknown. I felt embarrassed to ask for help with things other people seemed to handle so easily, like basic everyday budgeting. I’d gather information to take action, but became overwhelmed, not knowing where to start or what was right for me.

I want Growing Empowered to be a community where people come for resources to help confidently take on those overwhelming financial tasks. I’ll offer workshops, coaching groups, access to tips and information, and conversations centered around practical, simple steps to tackle our money matters and get away from financial overwhelm.

Moving forward, I’ll create programs for kids and teens, empowering them with the skills they need to avoid the financial pitfalls, so many of us encounter as adults.
